Tattoo Process - what to do
Before
Appointment
Hydrate: Drink plenty of water to improve skin elasticity. Eat/Sleep: Eat a full, nutritious meal before your session to prevent low blood sugar/fainting. Get a good night's sleep to increase pain tolerance. Avoid: Steer clear of alcohol, aspirin, or ibuprofen for 24-48 hours before, as they can thin your blood and cause excessive bleeding.
During
Appointment
Hygiene: Shower and arrive clean. Clothing: Wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the area being tattooed. Shaving: It is usually best to let the artist shave the area, or do it gently 1-2 days before to avoid irritation.
What To
Bring
Valid Photo ID: Required for legal paperwork. Snacks/Drinks: Pack water and sugary snacks (e.g., candy, juice, Gatorade) to keep energy up. Entertainment: Bring headphones, a book, or a tablet for long sessions. Payment: Ensure you have enough cash for the artist/tip, if necessary.
